George Boole

George Boole (1815 - 1864) a fost un matematician irlandez. Profesor la Queen's College din Cork. Unul dintre întemeietorii logicii matematice. A scris şi lucrări de calcul diferențial.

Opera sa principală este: An Investigation of the Laws of Thought, on which are Founded the Mathematical Theories of Logic and Probabilities (1854).
